Robert Welch RW2 Cutlery Set, Stainless Steel, 60 Piece

Designed by Robert Welch RDI MBE, this sleek and elegant 18/10 stainless steel cutlery has an even weight distribution with the knives being refined and forged from a single ingot of especially hardened stainless steel in order to maintain their cutting edge. Includes: 8 soup spoons, 8 table forks, 8 table knives, 8 dessert spoons, 8 dessert forks, 8 dessert knives, 8 teaspoons, 3 serving spoons and 1 serving fork. Presented in a stylish gift box. Robert Welch trained as a Silversmith at Birmingham College of Art. He then moved to the Royal College of Art in 1952, where he specialised exclusively in stainless steel production design. In 1965 he was awarded Royal Designer for Industry. Robert Welch`s most important commissions are in the Victoria & Albert Museum, The British Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, New York, Canterbury Cathedral and No.10 Downing Street. His company, The Robert Welch Company, has been established for over 40 years as a family run concern.
