The Street Singer
Harry Rosenberg was the balladeer-serenader-wandering minstrel-professional busker who, as 'Arthur Tracy', boasted one of the best-loved voices of the Thirties - always labelled as The Street Singer. His perennial theme song Marta opens a collection of 22 favourite sentimental ballads, all delivered by the big-voiced tenor with the clear diction and warmly romantic style for which he was renowned.
