2007 Pinot Noir, De Loach Russian River Valley

27 October 2010 Adnams Cellar & Kitchen
2007 Pinot Noir, De Loach Russian River ValleyLed by viticulturist Ginny Lambrix, the winery has committed itself to the application of biodynamics, beginning with the conversion of 22 acres of estate vineyards from sustainable to biodynamic farming methods. They will continue to expand this wherever possible. The cool, foggy Russian River Valley climate allows for slow ripening, enabling grapes to develop full flavour maturation over an extended time.Bright ruby in colour with aromas of ripe raspberries and strawberryrhubarb tart. Delicate notes of anise, cardamom and gingerbread spice give way to rich, black cherry fruit on the palate, supported by fine-grained tannins. Good length on the finish with subtle, toasty undertones, fine acid and excellent balance.
