2007 Chardonnay Isolation Ridge, Frankland Estate

It is the cooler climate (cool to them! to us it is shorts-wearing weather!) of Western Australia that allows for longer ripening periods and more complex flavours developing. So we were delighted to find this wine from the oft unreported Frankland river region that combines these qualities with the added bonus of maturity. The elegant length of this wine makes it comparable to some of Burgundy's finest.
