It is ideal for charging car and caravan batteries. It has a 12 volt and 24 volt shifting switch so it can charge a 12V battery which can be used to power AC appliances such as fans and fridges in conjunction with an invertor and easily charge a 24V caravan battery. Up to three solar suitcases can be connected together in parallel. It comes complete with all leads and has an adjustable angle support which allows you to position the solar panels in prime sunlight. The solar panel is an amorphous receptor and is ideally suited to the northern European climate to enable the optimum use of daylight hours. The dual junction amorphous silicon solar cells makes the panels more efficient and less prone to power loss. Although the solar panels themselves are water resistant the suitcase housing is not. The product has been designed to work in daylight and should not be exposed to rain or damp weather conditions.
